In Spain car hire companies are plentiful particularly around coastal areas and for hiring a car you need passport and a full driving license.You will find petrol station in all the highways and in the main roads.

Hitching and hiking in Spain is not a good idea but if you are going to hitch, try to be as safe as you can be. Hitching in Spain is not as good as in some other European countries but if you know some Spanish words it will helps you a lot. In Spain cycling is extremely popular and cyclists take their pastime very seriously. Spanish are keen cycle fans - both on and off-road - which means that you'll be well received and find reasonable facilities. In each large towns you can find bike shops.
